We met back in 1994, when we were both interning for the summer at Goldman Sachs in NYC. Haining spent most of the summer ignoring Andrew. We mostly hung out with a bunch of friends, but then Andrew began calling up Haining to see if she'd like to hang out alone together. She agreed, and from there the relationship grew. We spent senior year doing a heck of a lot of commuting between Penn and Princeton, and upon graduation we both found jobs in NYC.

Andrew finally popped the question on December 22, 2001, while spending a special weekend in the city at the Waldorf Astoria hotel. Haining was laying on the bed, gleefully opening a present of Hello Kitty paraphernalia that Andrew had just given her, when Andrew bent down on one knee and presented her with the ring -- and the question. Haining mumbled "OK", and returned to her present.

We will always have a very caring, loving relationship.
